That's How It Ends

The end-of-year golf tournament was one for the books—or at least one for the clubhouse bar. Four fearless golfers blasted their way around the course to a spectacular six under par, proving once again that golf is a game where confidence and selective memory go a long way. The rain came, the rain went, and then, just to make sure we were paying attention, the rain came back again. Through it all, there were plenty of laughs, miserable shots, and plenty of wet clothing. The highlight came when one of our group, struggling with the conditions, delivered the quote of the day: “I can’t putt with a coat on!” Fair enough—apparently the coat was the problem. In the end, were we celebrating a great round of golf—or just being glad the season was finally over! The website will be back in the spring.
